Daniel Spiotta, a native Memphian, is a second year, masters student at The University of Memphis. Daniel received his bachelors degree from The Eastman School of Music where he was the winner of the prestigious Lotta Lenya competition, which led him to a brief stint in Japan, singing in the most reputable opera houses. Upon completion of his bachelors degree, he moved to NYC to pursue musical theatre. Daniel has been on three North American National tours (Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, Titanic) as well as performed in several professional theater productions at some of the most distinguished theaters in the county, as well as Off-Broadway. He has sang on national commercials for several major companies, and can be heard singing on the Paramount motion picture, The Marc Pease Experience. He has performed as a soloist with The New York City Lyric Opera Theater at Carnegie Hall as well as with Neil Bergs, 100 years of Broadway at Lincoln Center. He can also been seen in Law and Order, 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, and Absolutely Fabulous. Daniel has also been a part of Opera Memphis for their past two seasons, cast in Gianni Schicchi, La Traviata, L'Italiana in Algeri, HMS Pinafore and as the lead in their midtown opera production of Kayfabe, a rock opera about Memphis wrastlin'.
